Game-o-Thon
The Lalani e-tech City organized a mega 3 days fantastic Gaming Event “Game-O-Thon”, from 28th to 30th Jun, 2013 for which the Gaming Clans of Kolkata geared up in huge numbers to get their Ultimate Gaming experience. It was first ever organized in the Eastern India, providing an opportunity for the gamers to explore their cognitive skills on a computer based online professional gaming contest, “Game-O-Thon”, which turned out to be the Largest Gaming Tournament in Kolkata.
It had an overwhelming response with over 650 participants at the Lalani e-Tech City, making it one of the most sort after show by the vibrant gaming community, supported by parents and other education intellectuals, in the presence of other IT industry stalwarts. The objective was to aware people of Kolkata what gaming is all about and also to offer the best PC gaming experience to all game lovers.

The huge success of Game-O-Thon made a repeat in 8th to 10th August, 2014, just after the FIFA World Cup. The games of choice were FIFA 11, FIFA 14, Need For Speed, Cricket 07 and Counter Strike. The first four were one-on-one games while the last one was a team game. The participants’ number went up to more than 1000. The FIFA series of games were most popular among the virtual football gamers. Tanmay Dey won the crown. 11 years old Adarsh Shah created quite a flutter in the Cricket ‘07 matchup, hitting six sixes in six balls.
